BC Berry Coop

British Columbia Berry Coop hires a very large number of people for 2 months each year to harvest a wide variety of berries in the Fraser Valley are of British Columbia. Most of the employment opportunities are in low skilled manual labour positions such as berry pickers. There are also positions as crew supervisors, who oversee the pickers and monitor production. BCBC also hires employees for their production plant where the berries are processed and packaged for retail sale or storage. Some of these positions require a higher level of training as they involve running sophisticated equipment.

Meeting the HR needs of BCBC is very complex. The coop does not want to have unnecessary employees on their payroll 12 months of the year. However; they do need to make sure that key positions are filled with capable individuals.

They have asked you to help them plan how they will meet their HR requirements.
