Directions: The Case for Human Resources as a Strategic Partner

Many authors have suggested that effective Human Resources (HR) strategies are one of the most important aspects of successfully implementing organizational strategy.?A significant change in HR over the past 15 years has been the emergence of HR as a strategic partner for the organization.?One way to accomplish this is to have HR report directly to the CEO or President.

Write report that describes the business case for having HR report to the CEO or President in a large organization. In addition, describe the key competencies that an HR executive must have to function effectively at this level in the organization.
