Task

As part of this assignment you are required to carry out a full strategic analysis of a chosen organization which can be either a manufacturing or service organization in which you are currently employed, you had worked previously, or you are familiar with. You are free to choose any organization that you like. The chosen organization could also be domestic, international, multinational or a global organization. In case the chosen organization operates in different markets, to ease your job please do choose a specific market in which it operates and do the analysis for that particular organization on that particular chosen market that it operates.

Prepare a written report as well as a presentation of maximum 15 minutes on the written report. The report must be of the standard report format that must contain an Executive Summary, Introduction, Body, Conclusion, References sections. When considering the length of the assignment, please do abide to the assignment rules and regulations when preparing your written report.

Please help provide detailed supporting evidence by using some of the main theories, approaches and matrices we have discussed during the course and make sure that you integrate key points from the understanding that you had into your answers. I would expect that your strategic analysis of the chosen organization should include as a minimum:
• Corporate Objectives and Overview of the Organization
• The vision / mission of the Organization.
• Identifying the significant capabilities of the Organization (SWOT analysis)
• Core Competencies of the Organization
• Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) Matrix
• The stakeholders of the company (Stakeholder Analysis: power/interest matrix).
• Issues faced by the Organization in the chosen market (PESTLE analysis)
• The basis of competition (Porter's Diamond)
• Identifications of alternative directions for the future strategy using the Ansoff matrix
• Evaluation of future strategies (SAFE framework)
