( Indeed, Linkedin, Glassdoor, Career Builder, etc.) You can also select postings directly from a company website.

• Download the attached spreadsheet into excel and fill in the required information for the 5 position levels.
• Several websites can be used.  All of the jobs do not have to come from the same website or from the same company.
• Your searches should be generated from "Customer Service", I.T. Support, Customer representative, etc.  Use the chart in chapter 3, 3-7 from the text to assist you as well.
• If the job posting does not have all of the information needed on the spreadsheet, keep searching until you find one that does. Additionally, if a salary range is given, select the lowest salary in the range to populate the spreadsheet.
• Answer the following questions:
• Generally speaking, what do these job postings tell you about the Customer Service profession?
• Generally speaking, what do these job postings tell you about the skills required in the Customer Service profession?
• Assess your business skills.  a list of the business skills discussed in chapter 3. Then assess your own business skills by answering the following questions:
  • In what areas are your business and soft skills strong?
  • In what areas can you improve your business and soft skills?
  • What steps can you take to improve your business and soft skills?
