Create: Your personal five year career development plan using the Career Development Plan Model.
1. Identify your career goal for five years from now. What do you want your career to look like in five years. Make this a stretch goal and it is a good idea to think big and identify a "dream job".
2. Identify the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) you will need to achieve that goal.
3. Identify your current KSA's
4. Using both lists identify the gaps in your KSA's that you will need to close.
5. Identify at least three specific action plans that will help you achieve your career goal. The actions must be detailed and specific. The more depth and details to the career plans the more likely you will be to reach your career goal.
