The results of the cardiac catheterization demonstrated severe CAD. Risk factors include dyslipidemia, diabetes, and sedentary life. She was evaluated by cardiothoracic surgery for CABG, but a decision was made that she is not a good candidate for CABG due to concern for complications after the surgery with her immunosuppression and her lung disease. She was continued on supportive treatment with heparin, IV nitroglycerin, beta blocker, started on an ARB, and waiting for staged stenting with Dr. Stanley. The plan is for cardiac catheterization and an attempt for stenting.
