Question: Regulatory policies involve the creation and enforcement of rules, standards, and regulations to manage and control various aspects of society. Abortion policy is best categorized as a regulatory policy because it primarily deals with the regulation of healthcare practices and individual rights related to pregnancy termination. Governments create rules and regulations that determine when, where, and under what circumstances abortion is legally permissible. Abortion policy is often seen as a polarizing issue with conservatives generally advocating for stricter regulations and restrictions on abortion, while liberals tend to support greater access to abortion services and the protection of reproductive rights. While liberals have a much open mindset of allowing abortion a different levels. Yet, I believe that narrowing this issue down to a liberal vs conservative mind set is not most advantageous as a more middle ground approach would help both sides best. This main issue is that when health complications arise and unwanted pregnancies come into play its much harder to make that choice of abortion for a mother. It's most likely that the grand majority of women do not take pleasure in getting an abortion but opt for one as this fits their moral standards and life circumstances. Along with this a single typology may not fully capture the complexity of policy issues like abortion, which involves a wide range of ethical, legal, medical, and personal considerations.
