Instructions for the Call to Action Project
Topic - Cyberbullying
Before beginning your project - do some research about the topic that you choose. Make sure that you can find credible information about your topic.
You are required to use Adobe Spark for this project. Seneca has a license for the Adobe suite of products so that all students can use Adobe Spark, at no cost, by logging in with their myseneca accounts.
The Call to Action Website must include the following information
• A header image and Title that represents the topic. These images must be licensed for reuse.
• An explanation about why the issue/topic is important locally, nationally and globally - this should be a concise statement between 50 - 100 words, that explains why this is an important, not only to you, but to all people who use the internet and digital tools.
• 5 Facts/Statistics/key pieces of information about the Topic - this information could be written as a short paragraph or a detailed bullet point - each point must be linked to the source of the information.
• 5 current resources focused on the topic (news articles cannot be older than from 2015).
Links on the webpage to 5 resources related to the Topic. These could include: an Instagram account, Twitter Account, YouTube video, an article from a credible newspaper, journal or website.
• A section of your choice - do something creative here or highlight an article or resource that is very informative. This section must include an image.
• 5 Specific ways to take action in order to raise awareness about the topic - Identify specific and targeted actions that you and people reading your webpage could "DO" to have a positive impact within your digital communities. What is something that you can do (activism) to ensure that others are aware of how important it is to understand the topic.
• Resources used to complete the project - A list of all the links you used to complete the project, with links formatted correctly.
Summarize:
The Webpage will contain the following information.
1. A header image that represents the topic and 2 other images
2. An explanation about why the issue is important locally, nationally and/or globally
3. 5 Facts/Statistics/key points about the Topic (each fact/statistic/points must be linked to a unique source)
4. 5 current resources focused on the topic, formatted correctly (the articles/resources cannot be older than from 2015).
5. A creative section - of your choice - this section must include an image
6. 5 Specific ways to take action in order to raise awareness about the Topic
7. List of all the resources that were used to complete the web page
8. A Bio Section
