Let's assume that I, your instructor, have tired of teaching and I go into another career as an inventor. I have invented a machine to teach young kids how to shot basketball free throws. I am just about to receive my patent on my machine, but need to be sure that the machine is calibrated properly to make free throws. So I seek to test the calibration using the following hypotheses:

Ha: The machine is properly calibrated.

Ho: The machine is not properly calibrated.

Assuming the result of any one trial of my machine is to either make a free throw (50%) or miss a free throw (50%), how many free throws must my machine make in a row for me to be 99% confident that I am not making a Type 1 error?
