Problem-

Read the questions below. For each question, choose the appropriate regression or correlation procedure. Then, using the SPSS Data Set, run the appropriate regression or correlation procedure and analyze the data. In a Word document, write an APA results section. At the end of the document, copy and paste the SPSS output.

Include the following elements in the APA results section:

1. The assumption tests and their results, including a conclusion about the tenability of the assumption and how it may influence the results (Include graphs if you used them. Hint: In order to be successful, be sure to include a scatterplot to evaluate the various assumptions.);

2. Adequate descriptive statistics (e.g. M, SD, n, N);

3. The null hypothesis;

4. Identification of the appropriate correlation or regression procedure and a justification for its use using analysis resources;

5. The results of the correlation or regression procedure, in statistical and narrative form;

6. The decision regarding the null hypothesis; and

7. The effect size, including an interpretation (be sure to cite the convention used), and power.

To answer this question don't change or transform any variables if assumptions are not met. Conduct and report the most appropriate regression or correlation procedure; simply note violations and their influence on the results.

Correlation & Regression Questions-

Question 1. The researcher is interested in the relationship among variables that have been defined as effectiveness variables. He wants to know if there is a relationship between students' total community score as measured by the Classroom Community Scale (Rovai, 2002) and the total perceived learning scores as measured by the Perceived CAP Learning Scale (Rovai et al., 2009). As he found that males and females differ on their total perceived learning scores, he would like to examine the relationship between these variables while controlling for gender. What analysis needs to be run to answer to answer this inquiry, and what are the results?

Question 2. The researcher is also interested in knowing if students' sense of community can predict their GPA. If community is a significant factor in predicting GPA, the university may want to consider classroom interventions aimed at increasing student's sense of community. What analysis needs to be run to answer this question, and what are the results?

Additional information-

This problem related to Basic Statistics and it discuss about preparing regression and correlation based questions using SPSS for a researcher investigating about student's GPA and the difference between Classroom Community Scale and Perceived CAP Learning Scale.
