A physicist Nakamura received a Nobel Prize for Physics awarded in 2014. He invented the first efficient blue light-emitting diodes (LED) and the first blue laser. Gallium nitride (GaN) is a binary III/V direct bandgap semiconductor commonly used in the LED. The first GaN-based high-brightness LEDs used a thin film of GaN deposited via Metal-Organic Vapour Phase Epitaxy (MOVPE) on sapphire. The GaN is a wide band gap of Eg = 3.4 eV. Eg  is energy between excited state and ground state, similar to hydrogen energy states.

(A) Calculate wavelength of the the GaN diodes.

(B) Calculate frequency of the the GaN diodes.
