A turbin operates adiabatically and at steady state, with an ideal gas of constant cp as the working fluid. The inlet temperature and pressure are fixed at T1 and P1, and the exit pressure is fixed at P2.
a) show that the minimum outlet temperatyre occurs when the turbine operates reversibly. Calculate this temperature.
b) show that the maximum work that can be extracted occurs when the turbine operates reversibly.
