A 10 kg mass slides 15 meters down the 30 degree incline. The coefficients of friction between the sliding mass and the inclined slope are 3.0 and 0.45 for the kenetic adn static, respectively.
a. Draw a free body diagram of the sliding mass on the inclined slope
b. Calculate the work done by each external for on the mass.
c. compute the net work on the mass
d. Use Work-Energy Theorem to determine the final speed of the sliding mass at the end of the 15-meter displacement.
e. Use the modified Concervation of Energy equation to determine the final speed of the mass after it has slid 15m down the slope (in the x-direction). EQ: E1+Wapp+Wf=E2 where E1= inital mechanica energy, Wapp= work done by applied force, Wf= work donw by frictional force, and E1= inital mechanical ebergy of the system.
