A 0.500 kg solid mass is totally submerged in water while suspended from a spring balance. The density of the material from which the mass is composed is 5 times the density of water. The density of water = 1.00 x 10^3 kgm-3

(i) Calculate the volume of the solid mass.

(ii) Calculate the reading on the spring balance when the object is fully immersed.
