A 60-Hz, single-phase transmission line has a length of 80 miles. Its shunt conductance (G) is 3.4×10?11 S/mile, resistance (R) is 0.1 ?/mile, capacitance (C) is 16 pF/mile, and inductance (L) is 0.56 mH/mile.

Part A:

If 220 kV, 220 MVA with power factor 0.8 lagging is determined to be at the receiving end, calculate the voltage at the transmitting end.

Part B:

If 220 kV, 220 MVA with power factor 0.8 lagging is determined to be at the receiving end, calculate the current at the transmitting end.
