A 280 g volleyball is travelling horizontally through the air at 6.87 m/s [ 32.8 degree N of E ]. the volleyball hits a 585g basketball, which was travelling in exactly the opposite direction at 1.54 m/s , directly head on and rebounds at 4.14 m/s [ 32. 8 degree S of W ]. A. calculate the initial momentum of the volleyball. B Calculate the velocity of the basketball immediately after the collision. C. show by calculation whether or not this was an elastic collision. ( if you could not determine an answer for part b, use 4. 00 m/s [32.8 degree N/ E ] as the basketball's velocity after the collision.
