Calculate the total head loss for water (25°C) flowing at 100 m3/hr as shown in the following figure. The total flow length is 250 meters and the pipe is 15-cm diameter cast iron pipe. Assume the water enters the pipe through an abrupt (sharp edged) opening, the two gate valves are wide open, the check valve is a swing type and is fully open, the bends are 90 elbows, and flow exits the pipe to a reservoir.
