A grab sampler is used to collect a sample of pure gas. If the initial concentration of the gas in the sample volume is 0.5, and the volume and flow conditions are those of Prob. 13.10, calculate the time required to obtain a sample that is 99 percent pure.

Prob. 13.10:

A glass grab sampler has a volume of 125 cm3. Assuming a flow rate of 100 cm3/min, calculate the times required for 80, 90, 95, and 99 percent purge of the sampler.
