Steam enters the turbine of a power plant operating on the Rankine cycle (Fig. 8.3) at 873.15 K (600°C) and exhausts at 30 Wa. To show the effect of boiler pressure on the performance of the cycle, calculate the thermal efficiency of the cycle and the quality of the exhaust steam from the turbine for boiler pressures of 5000,7500, and 10 000 kPa.
