An irreversible Isomerizationreaction AR is carried out in a liquid phase in MFR. Thereaction is first order and the rate constant at 165oC is 0.7 hr-1. The activation energy of thereaction is 120 kJ/mol and the heat of reaction is -350 kJ/kg. The heat capacity of thereactants and products are 1.95 kJ/kg-K, the volumetric flow rate is 0.33 m3/hr, and the feedtemperature is 20oC. If the conversion is 95%, calculate

(a) the reactor size and

(b) the temperature of the reaction mixture, if the reactor is operated adiabatically
