Solve the all parts of given question:
Problem: The great gymnast Nadia Comaneci may have had a vertical leap as high as 1.42 m. This athletic movement requires that she first sink down into a deep squat position, lowering her center of mass a distance of 0.38 m, then drive herself forcefully back up to the vertical position. When she arrives at her vertical position, she is moving fast enough that she rises into the air, until her center of mass reaches the height of 1.42 m above the initial position of her center of mass.
Part A: Calculate the "takeoff" speed (the speed at which she must be moving as her feet leave the floor) required to reach the maximum height.
Part B: Find the acceleration she must generate while her feet are still on the floor in order to reach the necessary takeoff speed. Assume that this acceleration is constant.
Part C: Draw a velocity vs time graph of the entire process, from the time at which she begins to squat down until her feet return to the floor at the end of the jump. Label both the velocity and the time axis correctly.
I need the answer and steps thanks!
