The poll surveyed a random sample of 439 American teenagers, and one question that they were asked was, "How strict are your parents compared to most of your friends' parents?" The choices were "more strict," "less strict," and "about the same." The choice "less strict" was selected by 30% of the respondents (Mazzuca, 2004).

b. Calculate the standard error of the sample proportion.

c. Calculate a 95% confidence interval for the population proportion. Interpret the interval in a way that could be understood by a statistically naïve reader.
