A 12.0 g bullet is fired horizontally into a 100 g wooden block initially at rest on a horizontal surface. After impact, the bullet is embedded in the block and they slide 7.50 111 before coming to rest. The coef?cient of kinetic friction between block and surface is 0.650.

a. Calculate the speed of the bullet immediately before the impact.
