Question: Blood is pumped through the aorta, internal diameter of 18 mm, at a speed of 0.33 m/s.

Part A: Calculate J = A v which is the rate or ratio of discharge of the vein.

Part B: The blood from the aorta passes approximately to 32 arteries with 4mm inner diameter, calculate the speed of the blood in the arteries.

Part C: Calculate the speed of the blood when it reaches the capillaries with 2.5 x 105 mm2 in diameter.
