Peter and Carter are dropping rocks into a stream from a bridge at a height of 28 m above the water below.

1. Carter drops his rock from rest 1.2s before Peter. Calculate the velocity with which Peter must launch his rock to have it reach the water at the same time as Carter's rock.

2. As Meg emerges from the water below she is struck by both rocks. Calculate the speed of each rock at impact with Meg.
