Question: Pull system is used to assemble items in an assembly line. There are two stations. Station I receives items at the rate of one every 12 ± 3 minutes. The operator in station I takes 14 ± 4 minutes, while the station II operator takes 15 ± 2 minutes. The space between the two stations can accommodate only three parts. Hence, if the space is full, the station I operator has to wait till the station H operator removes one part Simulate the system for 8 hours of operation.
