The geometry of co-ordinate systems and vectors are important mathematical methods in computer graphics among other things where the positions and shapes of objects are represented by co-ordinate systems. Vectors are also used in manipulating images on screens, e.g. rotations, translations, resizing etc. In this task, you will demonstrate your understanding of these concepts and their applications.

Part 1 Geometry

Given two points, P = (0, -1) and Q = (4,1), calculate the slope of the line.

Consider the two points, R (0, 2) and S (6, -2) on the line. (a) Determine the slope of the line. (b) Find the equation of the line.
