Regression
1) We are studying soil type and geography, and how a particular pesticide might vary in rates of breakdown and availability, among regions. To begin with, we look for a relationship in some preliminary samples. We have 25 samples of soil, and want to see if there is a relationship between sand content (independent variable) and how much pesticide residue is retained in the soil after spraying (dependent variable)
