1. Explain what is meant by baseband signal and baseband transmission.

2. Explain one approach for PWM modulation and detection (demodulation). Please draw the required circuits and diagrams.

3. A baseband signal with 4 kHz bandwidth is sampled at 1.2 times of its Nyquist sampling rate.
Calculate:

(a) The sampling rate at which this signal is sample.
(b) The guard frequency band between the repeats of the spectrum.

4. 32 signals all with the same bandwidth of 4 kHz are multiplexed after sampling at their Nyquist rate. Calculate the sample rate on the analog communication link.
