Refer to given Exercise. Calculate a 98% confidence interval for the proportion successfully treated. Is this interval wider or narrower than the interval computed in part (b) of Exercise 10.23?

Exercise
Suppose that a new treatment for a certain disease is given to a sample of 200 patients. The treatment was successful for 166 of the patients. Assume that these patients are representative of the population of individuals who have this disease.

a. Calculate the sample proportion successfully treated.

b. Determine a 95% confidence interval for the proportion of the population for whom the treatment would be successful.

c. Write a sentence that interprets the interval found in part (b).
