A college friend started a small manufacturing concern about 15 years go to supply specialized parts to the auto industry. Currently there are total assets of $12 million, an asset turnover of 2.2 times and a net profit margin of 14%. You run into each other at a holiday party and, because you are in this class, are asked if you could please calculate: return on assets and ROE (given that 40% of assets are financed with stockholders equity)?
