Frequently, the output of transducers are much smaller than what an A/D converter expects on its input. That would require an amplifier to match it. Sometimes the output does not start at 0V. Usually the minimum reference input voltage of an A/D is 0V. That requires scaling. We covered the circuit design in class and in the online lecture. How do you calculate the resistor values in those designs for scaling and amplifiying?
