Question- The desired gas temperature exiting the flame mixing chamber and entering the reaction chamber of a thermal incinerator is 750 C. The polluted airflow rate is 500 m3/min at 77 C. The fuel gas (methane) is available ay 20 C and the burner draws in supplement air (at 25 C) at the rate of 14 kg air/kg fuel gas.
Calculate the required flow rate of methane. Ignore heat losses and heat generation from pollutant combustion. Give answer in kg/min and in m3/min.
