An electric motor powered blower is used to accelerate quiescent air (0 m/s) to a velocity of 10 m/s at a volume flow rate of 5 m^3/s. The density of air is 1.18 kg/m^3. The efficiency of the blower in converting the mechanical work of the motor to kinetic work of air is 70%. The efficiency of the motor in converting the electrical work to mechanical work is 95%. Ignoring the change in the potential energy of air, calculate

a) The cross-section area of the exit pipe of the blower.

b) The mass flow rate of the air exiting the blower?

c) The specific kinetic energy of air exiting the blower?

d) The rate of kinetic energy of air exiting the blower in unit of J/s?

e) The efficiency of this blower in converting electrical energy to kinetic energy of the exiting air?
