Question- The reaction between ethyl iodide and hydroxide ion in ethanol solution has an activation energy of 86.8 kJ/mol and a frequency factor of 2.10x10^11 M^-1 s^-1.

a) Calculate the rate constant for the reaction at 35 Celsius.

b) Equal volumes of a 0.0238 M KOH in ethanol solution and a 0.0372 M C2H5I in ethanol solution are mixed. Assuming the reaction is first order in each reactant, what is the initial rate of reaction at 35 °C? Hint: Do your dilutions first!
