  1. George Hull Corporation issued $8,000,000 of 8% bonds on October 1, 2020, due on October 1, 2025.
  2. Interest is to be paid twice a year on April 1 and October 1.
  3. The bonds were sold to yield 10% effective annual interest.
  4. George Hull Corporation closes its books annually on December 31.

Instructions:

Problem (a) Calculate the proceeds received upon issuance of the bonds.

Problem (b) make an amortization schedule (Round all answers to the nearest dollar.) Use the effective- interest method.

Problem (c) Prepare the required journal entry at December 31, 2020.
