Hot water is pumped through a plate heat exchanger. The hot water side of the heat exchanger consists of 16 plates of dimensions 4ft x 4 ft. The gap between the plates (through which the hot water flows) is 1/8in. The total hot water flow rate is 10 gal/min which is equally divided among 16 plates. The average temperature of hot water is 80C. Calculate the pressure drop.
