Question - On January 1, 2020 Lance Co. issued five-year bonds with a face value of $700,000 and a stated interest rate of 12% payable semi-annually on July 1 and January 1. The bonds were sold to yield 10%.

1. Calculate the present value of the bonds assuming payments are made at the end of the period (round answer to the nearest dollar). Show separately the PV of face value and the interest payment.

2. Calculate the present value of the bonds assuming payments are made at the beginning of the period (round answer to the nearest dollar).
