Question -

a) Calculate the number of units to be produced in May if your desired ending inventory is 20% of the next month's sales, beginning finished goods inventory for May was 16,000 units, May's sales are anticipated to be 80,000 units and June's sales are anticipated to be 87,000 units.

b) Calculate the pounds of raw material you will need to purchase in August if your desired ending inventory is 30% of next month's usage, beginning inventory raw material in August is 126,000 pounds, production in August is anticipated to be 84,000 units and each unit requires 5 pounds of material and September's anticipated production is 76,000 units.

c) Calculate the amount of cash collections you will collect in November if you estimate you will collect 60% of your sales in the month of the sale, 25% the following month, 10% two months later and 4.5% three months later. Actual sales were August - $400,000, September - $440,000, October - $460,000 and November - $380,000.
