Point calculation:

The Fortune Group is well known for their world class retail store chains. When it began its system migration program to replace the existing decentralized store based computer and information software with MATRIX, an enterprise wide integrated system. Kevin the store manager with 25 employees under him were given three days training program on MATRIX. Kevin could not mastered the new system and it was affecting his performance as well as store's customer service. Due to his consistent poor performance, organization's top management decides to 'Let him go'. The top management asked the HR to reevaluate the compensation of the store manager for the replacement of Kevin. The new manager's key task will be to ensure good service and customer loyalty. According to the previous managers, 'that's half the job'. Other than that, the manager should be able to resolve issues, motivate employees to work as a team, timely attendance of the employees, all of these issues bear equal value. Knowledge regarding new integrated software MATRIX has been evaluated as 20% of the total job. Based on the weight assigned to each task, design the degree or level of skill needed in each and find the total worth of the job. Explain why you have assigned the level of degree for each category briefly. The organization has classified employees in 5 categories and a retail service manager falls under Category 4 employee. The standard point average for the position is 350 to 450. Each point for category 4 employee bears $11.5. Calculate the point total and manager's total compensation.
