Take a small perturbation to the keplerian potential. V(r)= -Vsub0/r + -deltaV/r^4. Calculate the phase shift over one orbit due to the perturbing potential to lowest non-trivial order in deltaV. Do this twice. Once using perturbation theory and once using Hamiltonian dynamics.
