A 50-KVA, 13,800/208 V ?-Y distribution transformer has an equivalent phase impedance 114.2+j800 ohm referred to the high voltage side. Take the rated voltage as the base voltage and the rated VA as the based voltampere value. (Neglect the exticiation branch of the transformer)
(1) Calculate the phase impedance of the transformer in per unit
(2) Calculate this transformer's voltage regulation at full load and 0.8 PF lagging, using the per-unit system.
a voltage is given by v(t)=10sin(1000(pi)(t) + 30 degrees)V 1. use a cosine function to express v(t) in terms of t and the constant pi. find the frequency in hertz to two significant figures and appropriate units.
an analog ammeter and the faceplate states an accuracy of +/- 1.5% of full scale value. if we take a measurement on the 10A scale and we measure 1.8A, what are the limits that the actual value will fall under.
Step-down transformer
the magnetic circuit of an inductance coil has a reluctance of 1500 A-t/Wb. the coil is wound with 200 turns of aluminum wire, and draws 3 A when connected to a 24-V battery. determine (a) the core flux; (b) the resistance of the coil.
Write a program to do the following: Declare a 4x4 2D integer array, Initialize the contents of the array to random numbers using rand() , Print the contents of the array, Prompt the user to enter a number to search for inside the array
A linear time-invariant system has a transfer function with a direct-current gain equal to 2 and a phase angle of 45°. What is the response of this system to the input x(t) = 4 cos(2t)
1. What is Miller capacitance What is its role in High frequency amplifier design Label all the involved variables in the Figure below and derive an expression for the Miller effect capacitances (input and output).
A variant of the binary symmetric communication channel described in class is called a binary erasure channel. The transmitter sends a ‘0' or ‘1,' but at the receiver there are three possibilities: a ‘0' or ‘1' or ‘undecided bit..
Find the stall current, max speed in rotations per minute (RPM), and armature current at a speed of 480.769 radian/s (4591.006 RPM). Discuss the relationship (if any) between the armature current at max speed
calculate the convolution (x1[x]*x2[k]) for the following pairs of sequences: a-) x1[k]=u[k+3]-u[k-2] and x2[k]=u[k+5]-u[k-4] b-) x1[k]=0.5^k u[k] and x2[k]=cos Pi*k u[-k]
how does the D'Arsonval movement work with voltmeter and ammeter i know how to design the cicuits but a little more of how the movement actually work in both cases. like for the ammeter the reason the resistor is place in parallel is to limit the ..
