Containing 0.015 M acetic acid and 0.035 M sodium acetate.

The same solution as in part a) after enough HC l has been added to establish a Cl-concentration of 0.001 M.

For the carbonate system in pure water, what species dominates at the typical pH encountered in natural water sources?

A sample of water collected in the field had a pH of 6.8. By the time it was analyzed in the lab, the pH had decreased to 6.0. Give apossible explanation.

For a water sample with a bicarbonate ion concentration of 50 mg/L and a CO2 content of 30 mg/L:
