A 0.01M aqueous solution of a certain weak acid HZ is 0.45% dissociated.

1. Calculate the pH and pOH of the solution, the Ka of HZ, and the Kb of its conjugate base Z¯.

2. A 100.00 mL, 0.01M, pH 5.00 buffer will be prepared. Determine the following:

a. Volume of 1.00 M stock solution of HZ required, in milliliters.

b. Mass of the salt NaZ required (Molar Mass: 204.2 g/mol), in grams.

c. Volume of pure water required, in milliliters.
