A block of mass M=0.20 kg is attached to a spring with force constant k=12.0 N/cm. At time t=0, the mass is displaced from the equilibrium point by xi=6.0 cm and released with an initial velocity vi=5.0 m/s.

Calculate the period the resulting oscillations and the total energy of the system assuming no damping.

Determine the amplitude of the oscillations and the maximum speed of the block.
