Experiment is to check the osmosis in different plant tissue which us four different kinds of tubor like potato carrot and other items using plastic cups distilled water different solution using different kind of solute like sodium chloride glucose then at last after everything is done final mein measure all tubors in equal length as major length of potato stripes calculate the percentage length of each tissues in plants check osmotic movement of plant in water.

Teacher has given all the details for it.

Part 1) Collect tubers - potato, carrot, bitroot and radish

Part 2) prepare 5% ( add 25g in 500ml distilled water) solution of salt, sugar and glucose.

Part 3) have 4 bowls or large plastics cups for 4 solutions- label them

Part 4) peel the tubers and cut them into strips 50mm long with knife with same cross-sectional area ( 5mm*5mm) using a ruler

Part 5) you would need 20 strips from each tuber.

Part 6) place 5 strips of different tubers in each solution and cover the bowl with plastic

Part 7) leave them for 12 hours

Part 8) remove the strips using forceps and measure the final length.

The strips need to be fully immersed and they need to be of exactly same length of 50mm.
