Count-If, Sum-If, Average-If and similar aggregate functions - Part 1

Open course_calculations.xlsx

Use COUNTIF to find the number of grades letters (A through E) in each course. Enter the count in column I, I2:I9 for course 001, and I14:I21 for course 002.

Calculate the percent of the course that received each letter, J2:J9 for course 001, and J14:J21 for course 002. Calculate total points contributed to GPA from each letter, L2:L9 for course 001, and L14:L21 for course 002. Enter totals in green shaded cells. Calculate course GPA in K11 and K23. Create column charts with course titles to show grade distribution.

Open chi_energy_sumifcountifavif.xlsx. Format the data in the first worksheet as a table and name it chi_energy2010.

Go to the SumIFAvgIfCountIF worksheet and complete the calculations directed using sumifs, averageifs, or countifs. Use structured table references.

OFFSET and INDIRECT Functions - Part 2

Open check_indirect.xlsx

Format the data (starting in row 3) as a table, and name it check_table. Use indirect in cell G2 to show the last balance in the table. The formula should always show the last balance, so it must adjust when additional data is added to the table.

Remember to combine all worksheets into 1 workbook.

Aggregate-If Functions: Show and experiment with COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, SUMIF, SUMIFS, AVERAGEIF, and AVERAGEIFS functions and manipulation.

Note that there is a different format for the ...IF aggregate functions than there are for the ...IFS aggregate function.
