A synchronous motor has a per-phase voltage of 220V and a synchronous reactance of 10.

(a) If it draws a total input power of 7.5kW at a torque angle of 30 deg, calculate the per-phase induced voltage, input current and power factor.

(b) Assuming the field excitation to be the same as in (a), calculate the maximum power developed and the corresponding input current, and power factor.
