A 230-V DC shunt motor, with an armature resistance of 0.4 Ω and a ?eld resistance of 200 Ω, absorbs 2.5 A in no-load operation. In another loading condition, the same motor runs at 300 rpm while absorbing 30 A. Calculate the no-load speed.

Hint: Use the second loading condition to calculate kNaΦf. Then use it to analyse the no-load operation.
