The warm source of a Carnot cycle consists of a blast furnace operating at a temperature of 150C, while the cold source consists of melting ice at 0C. When the cycle is in operation, 500kg of ice melts each hour. If the cycle operates for 3 hours, calculate

(a) the net heat absorbed from the warm source and

(b) the net heat given away to the cold source. Assume the latent heat of fusion at 150C is 0.3337 10^6 x J kg^-1
